The AI4Oversight Lab aims to develop reliable and responsible AI-driven methods and applications to support inspectors in the oversight domain, fostering meaningful interaction between computers and inspectors. The lab brings together public oversight organizations and research institutions in their quest for academically grounded methods that are practice-oriented and capable of addressing the many challenges within the oversight field. It empowers public oversight organizations to effectively and responsibly develop and implement AI-driven methods to fulfill their public missions.

About our research
The researchers in our lab tackle a large range of challenges and opportunities, ranging from trustworthy AI to social simulations and from hybrid AI to handling open norms in regulation. Within the lab we facilitate a close collaboration where research is executed and validated with use cases at the inspectorates. In this way we ensure that the results delivered can be applied in practice.
